The DWP may include information from previous assessments but you cannot guarantee that this will happen and even if the information is made available, that either the assessor or the Decision Make will actually read it.

As to the switching off of ESA reassessments. The DWP have said that decisions will be made following a new reassessment process.

Welcome back Gordon.Hope you had a good break.

Just out of interest is the review of 1.6 million pip claimants likely to further delay the migration from DLA to PIP which i thought was supposed to be completed this year? And has the DWP got a new date for the completion of the migration ?

The project is already delayed to next year at the earliest.

I don't think it's clear how the DWP have resourced the team doing the reassessments but it is possible that it will have some effect.

Out of interest does anyone know what criteria the DWP use when they defer someone's reassessment date for a couple of years without being assessed?

Do they look at the info they have on that claimant and defer on account of the seriousness of it? Or is it something that 's just done randomly.?

I'm in the Support Group and have had two deferments now and wondered whether it's because of my individual circumstances or whether i'm part of a cohort that's been deferred en-masse..

Officially the DWP are no longer doing this so we have no insight as to how they are deciding this, my best guess is Support Group with a prognosis of improvement unlikely in the longer term but there are undoubtedly other criteria as further deferments are only happening to a few claimants.

Is it true that the DWP is deferring for a year a significant number of transfers from DLA to PIP? The only reason i ask is that i'm still waiting for my ''invitation'' and i thought the migration was going to end this year .Thanks.
