f c wrote: Hi my husband has to apply for PIP after being on DLA for twenty years, The form has to go back next week, so we have tried to do some ourselves and have an appointment Friday with the Welfare rights lady. Found it quite difficult to do, The gp would not give any support has she said they will write to her if needs be. We did get some of his records information going back three years, even though there must be a lot more! What I would like to know is he has a couple of letters that were wrote for him the first time round, twenty years ago. They stated then that he could walk 100 yards back then. He cannot walk that now before being in pain and breathless. Could we still use these letters?
I'm afraid, if the letters are twenty years old, then they are far to old to have any relevance to his claim now.
