ESA and PIP

Hi guys
Could you tell how rhumetoid arthritis is viewed by the DWP.
I am in constant pain and have regular flare ups especially when stressed.
I am on Methotrexate which has a number of nasty side effects and is quite an aggressive treatment.
There's no cure as such only medication and it doesn't get better.
I would be very grateful for your feedback.

Thanks for responding to my message.
In terms of being more specific with regards to this condition is that it is debilitating.
Regardless of various pain killers, anti inflammatory medication and other treatments I still experience a lot of pain and discomfort both day and night.
I also have osteoarthritis, prolapsed disks in my neck and back, sciatica , burstitis, trapped nerves at the bottom of my back, I have also broken both my hips one of which had to be pinned affecting my mobility and gait.
Its hard to tell sometimes which condition causes pain.
The medication I take is aggressive and the side effects are those similar to the effects of chemotherapy, sickness, stomach pain, mouth ulcers and extreme tiredness. I also have depot and steroid injections to reduce inflamatin and pain. I have acupuncture from my physiotheapist.
These difficulties rule my life and controls how I live it .
