RE Photo ID
You don't HAVE to give photo id if they do a f2f do you? I understand the "reasoning" for it. But! What gets me is, hearing that once someone provides it the officer runs off to photocopy it. Smacks of Big Brother to me.

If you have photo ID then they will want to see it, it is the only way to prove who you are!

It's been 15 weeks since I sent in my ESA50 & have been in awful stress recovering getting the form completed & waiting to hear what they decide.
My brains must've started to surface, because it's only just occurred to me about (a) recording the assessment and (b) asking for a home visit. When do I ask for these? Is it when they give me an assessment date? Or. Should I put it in writing to them now?
I hope the Moderators are keeping well.
Thank you.

Hi Kate,
I suggest you ask for both recording and home assessment as soon as you can, otherwise changing an appointment could count as your one permitted change.
If you want a home visit, you will have to back this up with a letter from your doctor explaining why you cannot attend an assessment centre.
You need to contact the assessment provider about these things (and you could also ask where you are in the process)
