national insurance cedits when claiming Esa

I wondered if you could help me I have been looking up ESA information I cant find anything to say if you are on income related ESA and you can get any national insurance contributions / cedits paid while you are on the sick. Does this only apply to people who are on contribution based only. I am in the support group and are receiving income related ESA can you get national insurance contributions paid.. I have been unable to work for a few years now. i am unsure to whether I will ever get back to employment. and I am concerned how ESA will affect my state pension.

All claimants of ESA have NI credits made on their behalf, it doesn't matter whether the basis of the claim is contributory or income-related.
