I think you may struggle to show that you are following the route to a familiar place if you are being driven by someone else, but even if this is not a problem you need to turn the issue around and explain why you cannot do this on your own. Be aware that the DWP see this as an issue of navigation and therefore that the underlying problem must be the result of cognitive or sensory problems, so if your issues are with mental health you will need to show that they result in similar issues or you may struggle to score points.

No the routes are familar as I take them myself by bus or bicycle but this less than 50% of time.No the issue isn't with navigation but psychological distress due to my MH problems, paranoia acting in a manner with could be construed as potentially violent, disorientated meaning no traffic sense and anxiety being around others on buses etc. Taxi driver is reassuring and focuses me.

As I said, the DWP view following the route to an unfamiliar or a familiar place as issues of navigation, all you can do is present your arguments and see what happens.

The routes are definately familar as I walk or bus them on agood day ( less than 50% of the time). I take taxis due to paranoia leading to behaviour which may be contrued as aggressive, anxiety and psychological distress and disorientation which affects my traffic sense and ability to know where Im going. This disorientation is far more extreme on unfamilar routes but the psycholoical distress is more dependant on my state of health than the familarity of the route.
