The fact that you are under the care of a psychiatrist will be in your favour, even more so if s/he is prepared to write a report in support.
It is not the condition that results in an award of PIP but scoring at least 8 points across specific criteria. 2 people with the same condition can often have different care and/or mobility needs and these are the basis of the PIP claim.
