Had PIP Assesment Today. was created by sbsteve
I have been a member for some time but never posted. I had my assessment today it lasted 1hr 10 minutes. All in all it went well, though very stressful. The assessor said she had been a nurse for 27yrs. The only question I found not relevant was when she asked me if I had ever worked. I am 60 yrs old by the way. I have worked all my life until I become ill. Point of the post is I felt it went well and unless there is no fairness in this world I think I will transfer from DLA to PIP on the same rates as I had before the assessment. I have used the site many times for updates so Thank You so much for all the help and advice...Was told today it is taking 8 weeks for decisions so will update once I hear anything.

Hi and welcome to the forum
Thanks for letting us know how your assessment went. I hope you don't have to wait too long for a favourable decision.

Long time no post. Still not had a decision yet and it is 8 weeks since my assessment. Do I need to be making enquiries do you think?

Thank you Gordon...I did not call however the dreaded brown envelope arrived whilst I was at a medical appointment. Such a shock to see it there on the floor when I got home.
I was on High rate Mobility and Low rate care on DLA. I have been awarded Standard rate care and Enhanced rate Mobility.Much what I expected but obviously for weeks I have been gearing up to go to appeal, that is how the human mind works.
Thank you so much to B & W, I used what I had from here to get through the form filling. I will definitely be renewing my membership again when it is time just to keep abreast of changes ready for the next bout. Once again many many thanks.
