Hello, I was lead to believe that the benefits that we receive now...Housing benefit, Esa ,Dla and my partners" carers allowance" for looking after me would continue in payment until the results of the PIP assessment. But, I've just listened to the programme on radio four where someone said they lost all benefits whilst waiting for an assessment letter regarding pip.

Could you please clarify this...I've looked all over the forum for this information - and I'm sure it's there, but I can't find it.

I don't know the claimants circumstances but there is no normal reason why any other benefits would be effected by a claim for PIP until a Decision is made.

Your DLA remains in payment until four weeks after a Decision is made on your PIP claim, providing you meet the deadlines set by the DWP for making and responding to the claim, so anything that is enabled by your DLA, such as the CA will also remain in payment..
