Today I had the actual DWP decision letter saying that I've been awarded enhanced care and enhanced mobility until May 2022
I'm so low at the moment that I can't imagine ordering a motability car and leaving the house in it or going anywhere. I've been housebound due to pain for so long. All my medical specialists and my GP helped me so much so that I could have a car and be able to leave the house but at the moment I can't imagine being Abe to do that.
You have some time to decide what you want to do with your award, being housebound myself I understand your frustration at not being able to go out. You don't have to commit to a Mobility car, most areas have volunteer taxis for transport to your GP or hospital, you can take taxis for other trips and hiring a car for a week is not as expensive as you might think, so there are alternatives.
The only thing I would recommend is that when you do feel up to going out then do so. Take small steps, no pun intended and grab little victories where you can.
