TOPIC: Phone hell

I cannot get through to the number to speak to someone regards a letter I have received and unsure about it , I have tried 4 days and been on hold for 45 mins a day and still not got past being on hold , this has cost me £9 , that I cannot afford , so please any way round this

You don't say who you are trying to contact. Is it DWP or one of the assessment providers? The assessment providers (ATOS, Capita, Maximus) are contactable by email but not DWP.

If you are trying to contact DWP, all I can suggest is that you try them at 8am as they are often quieter then. Other members might have suggestions from their own experience.

As an aside, your MP might like to hear of the trouble you are having. They might be able to speed things up for you if all else fails but I would hope you manage to sort something out before that.
