TOPIC: Accepted resons to rescedule f2f

Accepted resons to rescedule f2f 11 months 3 weeks ago #169695

I have a friend who is due to be on holiday when his F2F is due. If he phones before hand is he allowed to reschedule? Also would he have to state the reason why?

They can rearrange the appointment once, they don't have to give a reason other than they cannot make the original one. They need to arrange the new appointment while still on the phone as all of the Assessment Providers book the earliest available appointment.

My friend wanted a 2nd opinion and asked for another friend to phone and check whether he needs to actually state his reason for cancelling his F2F on that particular date and reschedule He was told yes he had to give a reason why he is rescheduling as the reason requires to be added on his paperwork.

Being a bit of a cynic I suspect that if you rearrange an F2F and you say it is because you are away on Holiday this, if noted by DWP/assessor will be used against a claimant.

"If you can go on Holiday you must be fit for work or too fit for PIP"
