The new decision will start straight away and the duration of the award will also start then (making the 10/12/2017 date redundant).
I don't know whether extra time can be given for the AR1 - but it is certainly worth asking!

I'm afraid you will have to ring the DWP about this. The fact that a new form was issued should be on the computer system.
