OK We have to ring tomorrow again but initially the reason assumed was a xmas bonus. It now appears even more stupid. He was started in work following a combined support structure between the jobcentre and mental health support. Interviews, both him and the boss at work and the staff etc. What they are saying is the dates they have when he started do not match the dates the jobcentre put down just for that one month. So its an admin error on their part that he gets blamed for. I tell you we give up. Ringing tomorrow to arrange to pay and learning from this.

Was a PW1 form completed, it should have been and would have included the start date for the Supported PW. If you can show that this was completed and sent to the DWP then you should be able to show that it was official error and not therefore recovereable.

Everything was done by adult mental health services and jobcentre, with our son. If they gave him anything it will have gone. We had another think and there is another possibility. The company he worked for changed its name in dec 2014, it could be they think he started work at somewhere else for 1 month because he actually left work the following Jan and did not go back for about 6 months. It could be a glitch thrown up by the compliance investigation on the system. Just going to have to try and sort it out tomorrow but we are not holding our collective breath :(

They have released the reasoning to us and it was the xmas bonus. We have been given a form to challenge on the grounds he had no idea due to reduced capacity. He did not have a clue. Plus they say they sent a letter explaining this and they did not. Anyway, he will be paying back the £540 including the fine over several months. The irony is that he was reassessed at the same time that all this has been going on and once again he has had a paper review and remains in the support group on the grounds of substantial risk.

Somehow you think they would take his precarious mental health into consideration.
