PIP claim was created by Holysmoke
I submitted my PIP claim to DWP and this was signed for on 27/1/17.
I then received a letter dated 8/2/17 from Capita confirming that they had received my claim from the DWP.
I haven't heard anything since from Capita and was wondering what time scales other people experience in the East Midlands area. It is now 10 weeks since submitting to DWP and I am concerned about how long it is taking to get a response.

We have started to see an increase in assessment times, all I can suggest is that you contact Capita for an update. If you are prepared to accept a short notice appointment it may help you get an earlier assessment.

Thank you Gordon.
TBH, I suppose it is to my advantage to wait as I do currently get DLA.
I was just concerned about the time lapse from original receipt from Capita.

Dear Sharon39,
I am now at 17 weeks since Capita confirmed receipt of my claim. You may have a few weeks yet if you are in the Midlands going by my experience.

20 weeks and still heard nothing from Capita so I called DWP 2 weeks ago and they said that the file was still with Capita but I should now expect contact from them as my call would flag to Capita.
Two weeks and nothing.
