Dear Benefits and Work, Wondering if you can help with this quick question. In the Mobility Activity, is a prescribed electric wheelchair classed as being able to mobilise up to 20 metres? As my husband cannot mobilise using a crutch more than a few metres however in an electric wheelchair he can. Which has been prescribed by the NHS. I presume the answer that I would put to this question would be "No" he cannot. His physio has advised him not to mobilise at all as he often falls, only to use a crutch to transfer from chair to chair, chair to bed. Thanks in advance
I'm afraid that his electric wheelchair will not be considered, the PIP test is about his ability to stand and move (walk), so you need to explain why he cannot do this and why.
