Lost PIP was created by wolfchile
I am in state and not thinking clearly and physically being sick. I have just found out I have lost my PIP. I had a review after a face to face assessment. I was on Enhanced Daily living and Standard living. I put on review form things had got worse due to now having Cataracts, COPD and hearing loss and need more help to go out and carry out day to day tasks. I was receiving PIP for mental health reasons.

I only found out I had lost PIP after receiving Hosung Benefit Notification letter and they told me I had lost it. I had already asked for assesors report after assesment, but they said to wait until I had received letter. I have asked again today and they said to wait until I had received decision letter. They also said if I make MR to put in medical evidence whereas I supplied a whole raft of this with my PIP review form.

I wanted to ask do I wait for decision letter and start MR without assessors report which I may never receive? Also do I try getting more medical evidence which costs money to get copies and I can't think what else I could provide as I got lots of letters already.
Finally my wife claims ESA for us a couple. She gets PIP enhanced but will we lose Severe Disability premium. Does she have to tell anyone or is it done automatically

I've answered your questions in the other post you made.

Yes, I would expect you to lose the SDP, the PIP people should have contacted the ESA department, but I would still get your wife to ring them about it. Make sure you keep a note of the date and time.

I appreciate the people who give up their time to help on this forum. I am sorry to post again. Like many I am struggling with my mental health with no support and feeling I cannot go on anymore.

I have tried to get assessors report on a few occasions now since my face to face review a few weeks ago. They said I cannot request it until I have my PIP decision letter. They sent it on the 3rd they say. I am worried it is eating into my time to make a MR.

I read some old posts on forum and decided to make a Subject Access request. I got the form from link on the site it had several boxes to tick what you wanted. There was no address it, just said to take to local JCP office. I have done so and now I feel very scared as they sent a manager down to interview me on why I wanted the information and what was being requested. I had assumed it was a separate department to the ones dealing with your claim.

I was worried as I have had a lot of problems with DWP over years as a result of someone making malicious allegations. I did have an overpayment some years ago which was dealt with and I am paying back as a result of occupational pension which was declared but not picked up on  However I still ticked the box to access records. I am worried that as I ticked the boxes for all information they might start investigating me again.

I cannot stress how much I have lived ‎in fear of DWP for years and become unwell whenever there is correspondence from them. I feel like I am in trouble all the time without knowing what I have done. I feel like a criminal for being ill and being judged all the time.  At the time of the false allegations I ended up in hospital because of mental health. I had received a letter on Christmas Eve and not knowing what I had supposed to have done nearly killed me.

I also asked for details over Christmas bonus which I have not had for many years. I only managed to get back two years as they said they can't go back any further as records been archived. I am feeling quite ill and apologise for posting all this. I feel ashamed and full of fear and judged for being in this situation and was ill all night

I am sorry for ‎posting all this. I cannot relax.

You haven't done anything wrong other than take the SAR to the wrong place, it needs to be sent to the DWP office dealing with your claim, the address will be on the Decision Letter.

I would be surprised if your local JC+ office even have access to your PIP information on their computers, they certainly won't have any access to the documentation associated with it. That's probably why a manager came down to see you.

I wondered why Housing benefit are notified about PIP before notifying the Claimant? It is distressing to get an email saying 'there has been a change in your income' then ringing to find out my PIP has been stopped. It seems I am last to be told. It is housing benefit who informed me. DWP said I have to wait for the letter which still hasn't arrived. Last time it was two weeks before it came. I am worried this will cause me a problem with my MR as I have no idea what the date will be on the letter as they told me it was sent on 3rd May. ‎ As I will have to allow a week for them to receive it I am worried about delay. If I don't get it how do I do MR when I don't have it let alone assessors report.

Your Local Authority are notified electronically, whereas claimants have to be notified in writing, so a Decision Letter has to be created and scheduled for printing, letters do not appear to be printed every night so there may be an additional delay, then it is enveloped and sent out second class.

There was a time when this only took a couple of days, but now it seems to be taking 10 days or more!

Not receiving the Decision Letter within a reasonable timeframe would be Good Cause for a later request for an MR, also, as you know that an adverse Decision has been made then you can request the MR without sight of the Decision Letter or the assessment report and say that you will provide additional information once you do.
