Up date DLA to PIP was created by steveinleo59
My DLA claim was assessed in 2011 as an indefinite case. Since then I have got markedly worse, can I ask for a review and would that be under DLA or PIP criteria?

Having taken the PIP test prior to using your excellent guides I score 33 daily living and 14 mobility. Where as in 2011 I got the lower rate daily living.

If you are really sure that you want to do this, bearing in mind that PIP has been deliberately engineered to be a more difficult benefit to award and that once you start the process you cannot opt back out of it!

Then you need to write to the DWP office dealing with your DLA and inform them of a deteriorated condition and that you want to be reassessed.

You should then receive an invitation to claim PIP and the remaining process will be as a normal PIP Claim as documented in the PIP Claim guide.
