Today I called the dwp. I needed to ask them to transfer me from jsa over to the appeal rate of esa while I wait for my case to be heard at tribunal. After failing to get enough points after a medical and being declined after an Mr.

Some of the dwp staff on the phone seem to want to not make it very diffiuclt for me to transfer from jsa to appeal rate esa. One member of staff in one phone call with me said they had received everything for me to be transferred back to esa. I was told my jsa would be cancelled while I was on the phone and I could be put on hold while they put me though to the ESA team. I was cut off once my jsa had been officially cancelled.

I called them back and got more bs from there staff and was told I could not be placed on esa appeal rate until my jsa had been cancelled and I would have to go into my jobcentre to cancel my jsa. This was only 60 minutes just after my jsa had canceled in a other call with a different member of dwp staff.

Im stuck now. I think have been taken off jsa and I'm not receiving any benefit at all from today.

I can't get any sense or clear answer about my benefit status from the dwp. All I wanted to do today is get transfered from jsa to the appeal rate of esa until my case is heard at tribunal. I have been told too much conflicting information from the dwp

What can I Do?.

Technically your JSA claim has to be closed before your ESA on can be reactivated, but the DWP should be able to do this for you as part of the process of moving you back.
