Re-referred after WCA phone query.

Hi, this isn't a question but more a word of caution.

In September 2014 I was put in the WRAG for 1 year, in October 2015 I rang the DWP to find out what was happening with my WCA and was told it had been deferred until September 2017. So knowing it was coming I was becoming increasingly stressed about the assessment and decided to find out exactly when it would be to set my mind at rest and allow me to get organised. So I rang the DWP.

Big mistake.

The guy on the phone couldn't find any reference in my notes to any upcoming assessment so went off to talk to his superior, when he returned he informed me that they were sending an internal email to re-refer me and to expect a phone call informing me my ESA50 was being sent out. I asked him to confirm my calling had instigated this and he confirmed it. I received the phone call telling me my ESA50 was on the way this morning.

Perhaps this was an unfortunate fluke, or perhaps it would be wise to inform people not to ring the DWP querying the date of a deferred WCA.

All that I can say for sure is that I'm a little annoyed at myself.
