PIP was created by Susan Smith
HI,
I have just received my F2F appointment from Capita, and it will be a home assessment, even though it was not requested, however, I feel it will be much better for me with my disabilities.
Please could you tell me if there is anything that I need to know or do beforehand in anticipation for the apppointment, e.g. What will they do or ask, where will they want to see etc, and how long roughly will it take before I can expect an answer from them.
Thank you for all your help.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Susan
There is a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked. Home assessments are not significantly different from those help at the Assessment Providers' offices.
You can choose which room the interview is held in and can have someone with you.
The assessor is a visitor in you homes so it is up to you whether you allow them to llok around at all although most don't ask in the first place.
