Hi, I Am completing my husband’s ESA [he has Mental health problems], In your help guides for ESA:- 2.`Standing and sitting`, it mentions PIP Alert`s for:- `Washing and Bathing`, His PIP for `Washing and bathing was accepted for PIP as he needs supervision or prompting from another person. Likewise, ESA:- 3. `Reaching`, and 5 `Manual dexterity [using your hands]. it mentions PIP Alert`s for:- `Dressing and undressing`, His PIP for :- `Dressing and undressing` was accepted for PIP as he needs prompting or assistance Etc.] Now due to his Depression etc he scored points in his PIP for `Washing and Bathing`, & `Dressing and undressing` As these ESA Questions refer to Physical and not Mental I am confused as to Should I Tick NO, YES OR IT VARIES?, Should I just tick YES as I Guess it is impossible to gain points for these ESA questions anyway, or tick It varies and put down exactly what was in his PIP questionnaire ? Thank you.
You can only score for questions 1-10 if the underlying problem is a physical one and for questions 11-17 if the cause is a mental health one.
So does he have physical problems that effect his ability to stand and sit or his manual dexterity? If he has then explain what these are, but if not the tick no problems.
