DWP is asking the Tribunal to oppose our Appeal.. was created by Mr Roy
Hello Again.....
Just got a HUGE pile of papers from the DWP, detailing all the information they have submitted to the H.M. Courts and Tribunal Service, which is going to take me AGES to get through.....
However, in the first couple of pages from the DWP, at the end of their reply it says quite clearly....." I oppose this appeal and ask the Tribunal to dismiss the appeal and confirm the Secretary of State's decision ".....which leaves me feeling a bit confused. So, is this normal, and is it likely our appeal will STILL go ahead now, after all the paperwork and phone calls I had made since we had our original P.I.P. decision, or can the Tribunal agree with the DWP and dismiss our appeal......
Any advice would be greatly appreciated......
Thank You....

It's a standard letter that you can ignore, I can't remember a single instance where the Tribunal Service have taken any notice of it.

Thanks Gordon........
Thats a big relief to hear, as I thought all my hard work could be overturned easily enough......
Although, I must admit its getting VERY difficult to get any extra updated medical evidence from any of my Wife's Specialists/ Consultants, almost impossible to even get an appointment nowdays, so I hope I don't run out of time before the appeal date comes through, and got NO more evidence to show on the day.......
Wish me luck.....

Dear Roy, i would persist with the efforts to get updated evidence. My GP did this for me, I had to pay as I am not in receipt of benefits however it was strong and evidence based, most importantly, recent. I am in the South West, my tribunal date hasn't come through yet, over four months now. I had one of those letters, they are computer generated, and Secretary of State had nothing to do with it, it;s the poor devils who do the job for a living following process.

I am still chasing up Specialist and Consultants letters and appts, I have asked at our Surgery for a recent letter from a G.P. but have been told that its not possible for just one G.P. to write a letter to cover all of my Wife's complications, which doesn't surprise me, as they just usually refer her to the Specialists and Consultants anyway. Its just SO frustrating trying to get something from anyone nowdays. I have no idea when we are likely to get a date for our appeal, but it might be better for us, if it IS a while coming through, might give me more time to get some recent medical evidence to present to them......
