Successful ESA appeal time scales was created by sa78
Good morning,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me please.
I had a successful tribunal hearing on the 28th June this year. I was awarded ESA from 0 points to 15 points and placed in the support group. Which I couldn't have done with this websites help, thank you.
As yet and despite several phone calls and the standard answer of "there is no time scale", which I find barbaric, Iv as yet to receive any payment or documentation from the DWP. Can anyone tell me what's a reasonable time scale for payments etc. Iv received no money for over a year now so you can imagine I'm very keen to get things back on track.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Kind regards S

HI Shelley,
It usually takes DWP around 8 weeks to get payments started after a tribunal. You might be able to speed it up by sending them a copy of the Tribunal decision (if they say the delay is because they have not received their copy).
The only other thing I can suggest is to get your MP involved, they can often get things moving.
Contacting your MP

Thank you so much for replying, I really appreciate you taking the time to.
I'll certainly contact my MP and get the ball rolling as the don't seem to be in any great rush.
Thank you again.
