I won my PIP tribunal last month and the back payments have come through, then Saturday I got a letter from the esa saying due to a change in circumstances my esa is going to be x amount. X amount is still very very low, the amount they knocked me right down to when my PIP was knocked right down:( I just assumed it would automatically go back up.
Can they do this? Knock my money down and then keep it down even though I won my PIP tribunal? What should I do now please. The letter says I can appeal it after an MR, does this mean I will now have to fight this too?

Contact the DWP about the discrepancy, if it is the Severe Disability Premium then they may require you to apply again.

Well that was weird, the lady at esa said she didn't understand why it hadn't gone back up. I was then *interviewed* I suppose you could call it, by her. She asked me who was living with me ( my disabled adult son) Did he pay me rent? (No) Did he buy his own food ( yes) and did he contribute to household bills? (No).
She then said did I agree that what I said was a true statement or words to that effect. So that' s basically an interview isn't it?
She said she would send that off and I should hear from them after it's approved.

So what just happened and did I drop myself in it somehow as I was unprepared for this?

It sounds like they were running through the questions for the Premium, hopefully it will be sorted in a couple of days.
