Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I think you will struggle to find anybody to help you at this stage of the process.
Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
You can try contacting any charities that work with your conditions they sometimes can help.
If you are looking for a solicitor then have a look at the following

Many/most solicitors have little experience of benefit law. Make sure that anyone you use has plenty of direct experience in this area.

From going through such a visit myself, with physical and MH, it was very helpful to have a family member with me who could also speak to them. I think that having a stranger with you, may not be as helpful and they may also feel you can therefore liase and engage with strangers etc, also that person may not be able to give a support in terms of how they help etc. Just a thought and may not be what you feel, but just from experience if you can simply take someone who knows you that may be of help.
