Worried about ESA Appeal Tribunal evidence

Hello, this is my first post on this forum. After a face to face work capability assessment in March, the DWP awarded me 0 points on all descriptors. Previously, I received ESA in the support group for a mental health condition I still suffer with. Thought I might be put in the work group but was shocked to be found with no limited capability for work! Applied for Mandatory Reconsideration but DWP decision stayed the same. Am now going to Appeal Tribunal but do not yet have a date (likely October). Have sent some evidence with advice from a welfare adviser but I am concerned that this may not be adequate. I want to make the most of this chance to get the DWP decision overturned and don't want to waste the opportunity. This appeal process is taking up all my thoughts and causing so much stress my mental health condition is getting worse - am having suicidal thoughts. Would be grateful for any thoughts or suggestions from other members. Many thanks.

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I am sorry you are going through this :(

I suggest your first step should be to have a good look at our ESA claim and appeal guide. This can be found in the 'members only' section of the forum that is linked on the left of this page.

The please come back with specific questions and we will do our best to help.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your appeal without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
