Hey Buddha

Well I'm now back from the appointment and it's pretty intense. I went alone. It lasted for an hour and 20 minutes. The chap was actually decent enough, but you can tell they have training to not stray from the questions and can be somewhat automated if that makes sense.

I know what you mean about how this whole process worsens the crap we already have to go through. The stress has been bad for me, but it's over now and I should hear in 2 - 3 weeks he said.

I wish you a great result and more support where and when you need it. Thanks for being there.

Peace out bro'

Seb

Hi, I'm interested in your outcome. I have ME to name one too. It'd be interesting to see your outcome. Fingers crossed for you it's a good one.:)

Hi Ms Basset

I'll let you know how it goes. I have 2 - 3 weeks before I hear back from the DWP my assessment officer said. I have fibro with the ME as many ME sufferers do. I don't know if you've seen the news about the singer Lady Gaga, but she has fibro and has had to cancel her tour and wants to draw attention to fibro.

Anyhoo, keep the faith and err on the side of positivity. There are a lot of horror stories out there, but there are success ones too.

I wish us all success.

Peace

Seb

Glad you got through it okay. The 'worst' is over, so to speak, and you can relax a bit.

I'm getter better support now than ever before from my doctor and other medical professionals. It's been a long time coming. (My bad.) It makes a big difference to how one feels about the process.

It may take a while longer, but eventually I know it will be a success and I could be much better supported in the end. The glass is half full.. Take care.
Good luck everyone!

Peace out

Right on Buddha!

Indeed always see the positives. Given the chaos on the planet right now and the evolution taking place all energy is heightened so positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative. It's all about facing our fears and finding ways to lighten our lives regardless of the ME/CFS and fibro.

These assessments etc are part of the old dying paradigm and although we still have to go through them, we must keep positive in the face of adversity. I shook a bit waiting in the waiting room for mine and I could feel the anxiety rise, but I still managed to keep focused on the task a head. To those about to go through an assessment, walk through the anxiety as gently as you can if it rises.

I'm doing my best to keep positive about the outcome and yes, the 'worst' is over.

I'm really glad you're getting more support. I understand not seeking support especially when in denial if that's the case. I was in denial about needing support, asking for help etc, but at the end of the day needs must and it's ok to ask for help.

So indeed, good luck all those who have their assessments coming up. One day this government will be gone and a truly compassionate and decent government will take it's place and these decrepid assessments will be a thing of the past.

Peace out!

Seb
