Face to Face Assessment for PIP was created by Deedee66
I've been asked to attend a f2f for PIP. I suffer from the most terrible anxiety and depression, along with cervical and lumbar spinal problems. I'm on a lot of heavy duty painkillers too. I claim ESA and am in the support group. I just wondered if anyone could just give me some advice about the f2f and possibly some encouragement. The arrival of the letter yesterday has caused my anxiety and depression to flare up and I'm feeling nervous and suicidal. Can I bring letters from family who care for me to the assessment, should I bring all my medication and appointment letters for a Cervical MRI and Nerve Conduction Test? Thanks so much for reading :(

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Our PIP guide explains what to expect on the day

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

If travelling to the assessment venue would be very difficult, you might be able to get it changed to a home visit (if this would be better for you) if your GP would write a letter explaining why you would be unable to travel there. This would be your only allowed change, so you would need to think carefully about this.

You should give any extra evidence to the assessor and ask them to add it to your file.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
