Hi, Dad is 90 and has to go into residential care, I know he will lose the care component of his award (high), but will he lose his mobility component (high) when should I notify the DWP of a change of circumstances, when he actually goes into care, or before. Thank you as always.

The Mobility element will remain in payment.

You need to notify the DWP within one month of his going into a Care Home, you need to do this in writing and I strongly recommend that you use a tracked post so that you have proof of delivery.

To be clear, although it may not actually be relevant, it is entitlement to payment of the Care component that stops, not the award itself,
