Pip review or renew? was created by Steven
I’m waiting on the outcome of my one year early review , I have had a f2f and the lady that did it said she would put down 5year award on her report

My question is do the change and extend the award date with the review? Or will there be a whole new renew to do in about 6months? And have to have another f2f? Or is the review with a f2f the same thing and basically when it’s a year b4 the end date like mine they review and then if all goes ok it’s given the 3 years again or longer like she said? Just reading online they mention reviews and renews and they just do the same thing?
Thank you

If there is a new award then you will likely be reassessed a year in advance of it ending. A new award replaces your existing one.

That’s what I’m wondering? It was a 3yr award until sep 2018. I got the review 12months early and have just had to have a f2f My question is will this review with the f2f give me a new award or is it literally just to check you over and keep the first award 2018 and when that comes close have to make a new renewal to get a longer date? I just don’t get if having this review and f2f means they change the original date or it’s just a check and all stays same (date wise) until the 2018 date comes? It’s very hard to know what’s the difference?

Whatever happens, you current award will cease when a Decision is made following this reassessment.

Either you will receive a new award for X years which will likely be reassessed again one year in advance of it ending, or

You will not receive an award, hopefully this will not be the case and you will need think about challenging the Decision.
