hello, 4 weeks ago I got the standard esa50 form to CONTINUE my esa which I have been getting for about 8 years, However they have now sent another date for a medical, they cancelled the first one as I rang them and explained I cannot possibly travel to medical centre.
Along with my esa form I enclosed three letters, one from my gp, another from my mental therapist and another from my 'lay advocate'. they explained the reasons why I cannot travel for a medical. Anxiety, panic attacks, severe stress, after ringing them today they say I will have to go for a medical and are refusing me a request for a home visit even though I have asked for one in the past. So their medical doctor has overruled three professional people and their reasons why I cannot travel for the medical. I am at my wits end as only back in june I was transferred fro dla to pip without a medical as I had so much evidence from others to back me up. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply Gordon, a person on the help desk call line for medicals explained the basically the medical assessor said if I could travel to see my gp then I could travel to a medical. I explained to the man that I see my gp very rarely by having a friend walk with me to the surgery as it is only 10 minutes walk away. I cannot in any circumstances travel by car taxi bus etc as I get panic attacks, sickness and extreme stress. The man was very helpful on the phone and said he was sending an email to head office asking them to look again at the evidence. My gp and my therapist state in the letters why I cant travel by transport, my health has detoriated since then. 2 years ago I was continued my esa without all this!

Thank you for your reply. I was so stressed out that I called the Nottingham medical centre this morning regarding my situation. A lovely lady called Marion calmed me down and after listening to me and checking my file told me she had cancelled my medical and had to arrange the next one for 8 Dec. She said she was requesting my esa form and my three enclosed letters to be sent yet again to the decision maker to consider my claim. She said leave it a few days and for me to ring back and ask for her. I am a bit calmer now, but everything is still up in the air.
