Claiming Benefits was created by Gill
Hi everyone,
Sadly, my partner and me have split up. I have NO money now coming in. However, I have just claimed ESA (I was already claiming ESA - support group, but of course not entitled to money due to my partner working 40 hrs. I now get £100.00 per wk? I think.
The question is I want to claim PIP and any other benefits???? I have a mortgage, bills and a 18 yr old daughter who is in college.

Please help. I am so very worried as to what to do next???

I would put your information into one of the online benefit calculators, this should give you an idea of what you might qualify for.

Providing you can handle the workload, you should think about making a claim for PIP now, have a look at our PIP Claim guide for the criteria you will need to meet.

The waiting time for assistance with your mortgage has just increased to 39 weeks so you will need to think about how you will manage your payments until then. The scheme is changing in April next year into a loan!

I would also recommend that you go and see the CAB they are experts in debt advice and may be able to help you manage the money you have coming in.
