appointee at wca was created by walls14@btinternet.com
Hello
My daughter with learning difficulties and language disorder has been asked to attend a wca. i will go with her but as her appointee am I allowed to insist my views are taken into account. She possibly won't understand a lot of the questions.

Whilst the guidance for PIP is quite clear about how an appointee can speak on behalf of the claimant, this is not the case for ESA, so you will need to play it by ear on the day. Some assessors will welcome the input of the appointee but I'm afraid others will refuse any input and may curtail the interview if you insist on speaking. If this happens then make a formal complaint.

I hoped it goes well.
