I hope it's OK to ask a question on this thread.

I have received my PIP decision - no award, so I need to ask for the mandatory reconsideration.

Please can someone tell me what information I can ask for. The letter states "you can ask us to explain our decision" but when I phoned the DWP to ask them to send this information, she said they would explain verbally if there was anything in the letter I did not understand, but that was all they would give me - the information is in the letter.

Can I ask for all the information they used to make their decision? Do I ask the DWP or the Independent Assessment Services? And how should I word it so I get what I need?

Actually we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

Contact the DWP office dealing with your claim there should be an assessment report.
