I am disabled & currently high rate of DLA Care & Mobility & EDS support group I had to sell my home years ago & move to an adapted council bungalow . My 23 yr old son who lives with me & cares for me at night ... my mum who is 70 cares for me during the day... has just got a job working 30hrs a week. He is currently getting universal credit. What will that mean RE: Benefits, Housing & Council tax? From what I can gather from googling is that it may only affect council tax. Can anyone tell me if that's the case? thanks Sharon
If he is working 30 hours a week then it will be more complicated as he would qualify for what used to be called Tax Credits, I would advise him to put his information into one of the online benefit calculators.
