PIP Appeal - do it quickly because of illness

Often, it is not the evidence that is the problem but the way it is read ( or nor ). When you make your submission you should reference, by page and paragraph to the evidence bundle, each descriptor that you are challenging and lead the reader to the exact part of your evidence that shows you meet the criteria. Makeit simple for them, make it idiot proof

Hi, just another question on this, if you would be kind enough to look at/answer.

1. The Appeal is being processed. No doubt I will get a date for the Tribunal Appeal Hearing soon. I have decided I will (probably) not attend. My life is incredibly difficult at the moment and I am not sure I could cope with more stress. If I decided not to attend nearer the time could I just inform them the day before or on the day? That way they would revert to a paper review at the time I was meant to physically attend?

2. I have written grounds for my Appeal. The DWP have responded (which I haven't read as yet: emotionally very frail at the moment and cannot face reading it). Will I have to write anything else? Or is that it now?

Thank you. Sorry for all these questions. Its just such a long, involved process to "get your head" around.

You can opt for a Paper hearing, that you do not attend at any time including the day of the hearing, if you can notify the Tribunal Service in writing but if time does not allow then contact them by phone.

If you are happy that you have supplied all of the testimony and evidence that you need to show that you should receive an award, as part of your original claim, the MR or in your request for an appeal, then you don't need to provide anything further, however, if not then make sure that any additional information that you want to send is with the TS before you opt for a Paper hearing,
