PIP renewal was created by Jan
Hi all.....what a wonderful site this is! Background to question - My daughter currently receives PIP higher rate daily living & mobility. Today she received the dreaded envelope through the door advising assessment by Capita on 25th Jan. Venue at home. She suffers with M.E. and a couple of months ago also diagnosed with a 2nd condition- POTS syndrome. The renewal application was completed with the help of the CAB and all descriptors were either the same or worse. We supplied extra info including up to date medications and a letter from cardiologist at hospital confirming diagnosis of POTS and further investigations required.
The original assessment carried out in October 2015 was carried out by a lady who had suffered M.E. herself and was only too well aware of the symptoms and how its fluctuating condition affects people on a daily basis. Her report was really accurate and resulted in a score of 27 for Daily Living and 12 for Mobility. Question - can we use this original assessment for the renewal and quote sections off it as it describes my daughters condition very accurately?
She has only recently had to go to tribunal for ESA - overturned by the judge on tribunal day as we were about to leave for court - Assessment for that was so fabricated and untrue we thought it was about someone else! Trying to avoid that horrendous situation arising again.

Thanks

Which form did you complete, a PIP2 as when you originally claimed PIP or the AR1 review form that just asks about changes?

If the content from the previous form is still applicable then there should be no reason why you cannot use it, be aware that there have been changes to the Definition of Therapy and some of the Descriptors for the Going Out activity have also been changed.
