Mandatory Reconsideration was created by 57SWIFTS
I am about to request a Mandatory Reconsideration. The scoring to say the least was inconsistent with my application and the discussion I had at the assessment.
Now,I do not have any additional evidence but there is enough in the decision notes to make a case. Now the absurdity of the decision is that I received 11 points for daily living needs when 12 would have given me the enhanced rate.Strange?
The mobility score was 4 but that can be challenged on the basis of the recent u turn by the government.
The big disadvantage I see is that I do not have a copy of the assessment.Should this not be provided as it would certainly help at the reconsideration stage.
Is the assessment then provided if it goes to a tribunal?

The assessment report is only sent on request, contact the DWP office dealing with your claim.

It may take 10-14 days to arrive and I would recommend that you do not wait for it if doing so would result in your MR request being outside of the one month normally allowed for this, if it late then you can say in your request that you will be sending additional information for your MR and the DWP should allow you a further 4 weeks to send this in from the date of your letter. Double check that this has been registered on your claim by giving them a call.

Thank you.In the interim I was able to establish that I can have access to the Medical Report. The other point here is that the decision letter was sent out on 12th January and not received until the 20th January,so I will be asking for additional time for my reconsideration letter.
