Hi Folks
Just a quick query can anybody shed any light on this one for me. I sent back my PIP forms in mid December I have now just received a date for a home visit although I did not request this. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not? Any ideas?

All It means is that the Assessment Provider has accepted you would have problems attending at their offices.

There is a section in the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

Hi Folks

So today I had the dreaded home visit assessment. I studied the guides closely as advised by B&W. i was armed and ready. But to my surprise the DA hardly asked any questions. He said he had plenty of evidence already. He told me I would not need any supporting letters. After he closed his computer he said I would PROBABLY get enhanced and standard rates. I am not sure if I was being tricked or not to let my guard down. So I recorded all what he said on the file provided in the guides and got my support worker to read and countersign.
Any thoughts as I am now a little worried after reading some of the stories on the forum.

I hope you will forgive me but I long ago stopped trying to guess the result of an assessment by how it went, we have seen the worst assessment result in the highest award and the best lead to no award at all.

You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report next week by contacting the DWP office that is dealing with your claim. Decisions are usually 2-4 weeks.

Thanks Gordon... but do you think if I didnt get the award I would have a case for the DA raising my expectations? I never asked what he thought, he just said you should have no problems?
