Call from Health & Disabilities Assessments

I had a call from Maximus dealing with my ESA reassessment yesterday regarding my GP evidence. Bearing in mind my ESA50 form has been with them for 6 months due to delays regionally. Anyhow, as I had moved to a new area and GP surgery since the form was sent. I was informed that my current evidence was out of date and they wanted to write to my new GP surgery to confirm my heath issues.
Is this correct? It’s totally unfair because my new GP has only seen me once and hadn’t even read my notes from my previous GP. Can they dismiss the evidence from my previous GP just because it took them 6 months to look at my claim?

Many thanks.

No your evidence is not out of date, but I don't think that this is actually the issue, as you are no longer a patient at your old GP's practice Maximus can no longer contact them for any additional information that they might want, only your new GP is able to answer their questions.

I would contact your new GP and ask them to speak to you when they receive the request, hopefully they will be willing to do this.
