DLA in full-time employement was created by sally-ann
Just returned to full-time work after 15 years on ESA. I am still claiming DLA as I am still treated for the same mental health issues. Do I need to tell DLA I am back at work - ESA/DWP have been informed. Guess i am afraid I will be called in for an assessment if I do. What will be the consequences for me if I fail to inform DLA separately. I thought it all came under the same umbrella, as I was assessed once for both ESA & DLA. Any suggestions.

DLA is not a work related benefit so there is no specific requirement for a claimant to tell the DLA unit that they are working, however, it may disadvantage you if you do not notify the DWP and there are subsequent concerns about your award due to your starting the work.

If you do notify the DWP, then there is a good chance that you will be invited to claim PIP.

Hi,

Is it worth applying for pip if I am now on paid work.

PIP is not work related benefit so their is no legal restriction, do you reasonably think that your meet the criteria for an award?
