TOPIC: ESA assessment severely sight impaired

ESA assessment severely sight impaired 5 months 3 weeks ago #207239

Hello,

I'm due to have a medical assessment on Friday. I am registered as severely sight impaired due to retinitis pigmentosa.

I was just wondering if they will undertake a visual test at my assessment?

Kind regards,

Lydia

They may do one but it will be pretty basic, reading text if you are able to.

Hello Gordon,

I've just had my assessment, do you know how long it takes for the report to be sent over to the DWP?

Kind regards,

Lydia

It usually only takes a couple of days for the report to be sent to the DWP.

Hello Gordon,

I called today on the off chance that they have my report, and the gentleman I spoke to said that reports cannot be sent out until a decision has been made, is this correct?

Kind regards,

Lydia

There's no reason why the report can't be sent before the Decision, some ESA office will and others won't.
