Hi I have been away for quite a while now its a very long story,

My husband was in Guy`s and St Thomas Hospital from the 26th December 2017 till 3rd January 2018 for a operation on a Left Atrial Myxoma while he was having a Guy`s and St Thomas Hospital investigation ECHO scan at one of our local hospitals, we were told to go straight to ******* Hospital where the medics are waiting for you to take you to London pack for 2,weeks This was on December 18 2017 , He was kept in our local hospital from then till a Ambulance transfer on the 26th of December 2017 to you at Guy`s and St Thomas, one operation day I was told that the Myxoma was the size of a small orange, and not the normal size they used to seeing, oh my god its a wonder it didn't kill him he`s one lucky man if another part of it had come off we could of lost him.
The worst part for me was filling the house from silly o'clock in the morning till visiting time at 2 or 3 pm depending what part of the hospital your in. and sleeping in a empty bed. and we have joked about the unexpected time away from home at Christmas in London at the most dearest time of the year and the fight to find somewhere to stay for me...... anyway 2 weeks away and lots of ££££££££ later we will never forget,

So the point of this post is to tell everyone if you do have to stay in London at Guy`s and St Thomas. There is some accommodation in place called Gassiot House and its about 100 yards from the main hospital doors and its a little cheaper then hotels I been told its only £75.00 a night depending on what room you have. so if any of you having to have a long stay away from home and in Guy`s and St Thomas Hospital ask about possible help in finding somewhere to stay.

Thank you

Maybe a Travel lodge is nearby? That hopefully would be cheaper?

This is the hospital accommodation Pusscatmum it`s £75 a night still quite a lot when they want payment up front, it's just a good job really my husband and I had managed to say up for the car service that due any day now otherwise i really really don't know how I would have paid for it after 2 weeks of living on yogurt and bananas and really its scary to think I might have had to of slept in a quite corner of the hospital
