ESA WRAG after 12 months was created by garyizme
Firstly apologies if this has been posted as I cannot find an up to date answer.

I had a brain injury in 2005 and was in the support group until a year ago when I was put into the work related activity group even though my doctor wrote a letter saying I could not do any type of job due mainly to bad headaches. I have recived a letter now saying this payment is to stop as I have had it for 12 months. What if anything can i do?

First of all, are you going to challenge the Decision to move you to the WRAG, if you are then your request must be made within one month of the date of the Decision?

Have your conditions changed since you were last assessed such that you now meet the criteria for the SG again, if they have then you can ask to be reassessed.

Lastly and most importantly, are you eligible for Income Related ESA, if you are then your payments will continue. ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset and savings rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)
