Hello ,
I have ADHD, Asperger's, & Bipolar and cannot complete the PIP2 by hand:
I have herniated discs in my neck, which cause nerve damage.
I have explained to the DWP that I will be submitting typed answers with my PIP2 form by using a speech to text programme on my computer.
They said this would be acceptable, if I provide a supporting Doctor's letter, which My GP has drawn up for me.
I am considering asking for an extension period when the form arrives.
Would anyone know how long such an extension will be and how long this will give me in total?
I noticed in PIP2 there is no section to detail such a disability, as being unable to write.
I am going to detail how this affects me in section 9 Communicating.
Is it possible to score points for something they do not stipulate in the Form, i.e. writing?

We have had a lot of members reply by typing their answers rather than completing the form, none have been required to provide a doctors letter!
It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the PIP2, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.
Attach the pages to the back of the PIP2 using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
You can ask for an extension, the normal period is two weeks giving you a total of six weeks, but this includes postage so you are probably looking at four weeks to complete the form.
The Communicating activity is about verbal communication, you won't score for your problems with writing,
