Pip award was created by Scott.w.churchil
Hi my son has received his pip award after filling in the pip ar1 form.
His daily living was awarded at the same rate but I think he should have got more points for mobility on his award form it’s says “at this time I still can’t award you pip for help with your mobility”
After all of the news about pip mobility I thought he would have been awarded this! But he only got 4 points, he can’t leave the house even on familiar journeys alone, as I stated on the form.
Is it possible it will be reviewed, along with the 1.6 million? it’s the at this time part that has me wondering?
Or is that a standard thing to say?
Thanks

If he is unable to leave the house then you are assessing him as meeting either (b) or (e) for the Going Out activity, neither of these Descriptors were effected by the DWP changes so I think it unlikely that the review will make any changes.

He has scored for (b) which means that they believe he can leave the house with suitable prompting, to score for (e) you will need to show that he does not leave the house for any reason.
