If you have received a PIP award as a direct replacement for a DLA one then there should be no break in payment, however, it can be difficult to work out.

So if your PIP Decision was made on day 1 then you should continue to receive DLA until day 28, DLA is normally paid four weekly in arrears but some claimants are paid three weeks in arrears and one week in advance.

Your PIP claim starts on day 29 and your first payment, in principle, should be on day 56, PIP is paid four weekly in arrears. however, claimants payment days are spread across the four weeks so it may in fat be a part payment.

Basically you need to look at the payments between your last full DLA payment and the first full PIP payment, it's a lot easier if your award has not changed but it is possible to work out whether you have received the right amount.

So you will receive one further payment of DLA covering your from 22 March to 10 April and then your PIP will start as stated, PIP and DLA have different payment dates so that may account for the shorter periods.
