I had my review this morning just thought I would post the highlights. Firstly it was a bit of a treck to the centre by taxi but arrived well in time. Having checked in we were told to go in a lift to a first floor waiting room, upon name being called Iwe were shown down a corridor with the room approx. 50-60 metres away..I managed maybe 8-10 and I was done. The lady assessor say me struggling and unexpectedly ran for a wheelchair before I fell. Wheeled to the assessment room and started. In fairness she seemed a really decent young lady who told me she was a nurse and took time to listen and note my points, I was struggling for breath after the walk so she cut the interview as short as she could (So he said), took copies of everything and told me not to worry as it would be all sorted soon. I was asked how I got there, when my companion said taxi the lady said have you got a claim form, we explained we hadn't asked beforehand and really didn't expect repayment, too my surprise she said your getting your money back and im authorising it now. They even ordered me a taxi to return home whilst I was in the assessment and I was taken from the centre by the lady assessor to the taxi in a wheelchair (Really didn't expect it as I had my stick but just couldn't manage the distance)..I obviously don't know the result yet but I have to say that my experience this morning of ATOS and this assessor was first class. That's a first for me and I am so relieved its over...Until I get a decision...Thanks for everything esp Gordon..Will keep you informed of the decision

A Decision should be made in about 2-4 weeks, give it a couple of days and you should be able to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

Thanks for the reply Gordon, too be honest I would rather wait for the decision before seeing the report as I feel it would make me even more anxious waiting for the decision. One point I wanted to highlight. Not sure whether I should but feel it may assist others on here who have mobility issues......When I simply couldn't make it too the consultation room the lady got me the wheelchair... she mentioned that all centres have to have at least 1 wheelchair on site for this very reason. They are not in view or advertised for claimants to ask if needed. If you are in need of one and clearly need one due to the distance etc, do not struggle or cause yourself to become ill just ask for a wheelchair as there should be one available.

Had a text from DWP today saying that had received the report from my review, any idea how long you wait for a decision. I know its the standard 2 too 4 weeks but surely if they have txt me it doesn't take 2 weeks to make a decision if so I hope the DWP are not paying the CMs by the hour because that's just plain ridiculous..

Still no decision. Letter dates 16th June was received after the txt saying we have everything and will write to you once we make our decision. Called last week no decision had been made. Also called 3 times no for a copy of Atos report and been refused until the decision has been made, same reason given on all 3 requests. "The system wont let us sent you it until after a decision is made so it isn't even an option for me to do that for you". Basically they have now had 39 days to reach a decision from the day they received my Atos report and still haven't done it. Is it worthwhile making a complaint or is it best just sitting waiting? Just seems a ridiculous amount of time.
