Hello - hoping someone on here can help or provide guidance.

My wife has been in the Support Group for a number of years now, she has suffered mental health issues for years now and has always been in the Support group following assessments.

I am my wife power of attorney on recommendation from the DWP due to my wife 'losing letters' sent to the house and missing critical appointments.

This morning I received a letter from the DWP advising that my wife has been moved to WRAG, however she has not had an ESA assessment in two years. She has had a PIP assessment, but have not yet received any notification on the outcome of this.

Is it possible to move my wife to WRAG from support without assessment? Any help/guidance appreciated.

There's no legal requirement for a face to face assessment to be done in order to move a claimant from the SG to the WRAG. Has your wife received an ESA50 since the last assessment two years ago?

Do you know how she qualified for the SG last time?

Did she qualify through the Substantial Risk Regulations? If she did then the DWP guidance for this has changed in the last two years and it is now more difficult to qualify through this route.
